The Tidbits that Come out at Midnight

Now that I am older I...

Ramsey (aged 32)

1)…have better concentration but a worse memory to remember what I’ve concentrated on.
2)…don’t like most modern art, socialism, abortion, vegetarianism…
3)…don’t listen to emotional music anymore.
4)…am less physically agile (first noticed when getting out of the back seat of a Coup).
5)…am gloomier and less social around Canadians.
6)…spiritually: am closer.
7)…appreciate my family more.


So (aged 24)

1)…have more sensitive teeth and have to import Sensodyne from Canada.
2)…welcome more responsibility.
3)…think about the future and reminisce more.
4)…get called “Older Sister”.
5)…feel guilty for the destruction of the plants and animals I’ve loved since I was a child.
6)…am more forgiving.
7)…am satisfied with my life and feel very lucky.

Anh-Thi (aged 32)

1)…am appreciative of life more and am happier in general.
2)…laugh more and cry more.
3)…am fitter.
4)…am developing an enjoyment of giving and receiving hugs and massages.
5)…sleep less and have more energy.
6)…find it’s harder and takes longer to heal from physical injury, but easier and takes faster to heal from emotional injury.
7)…am more assured of humanity’s destructive tendencies, and my inescapable culpability.

Ramsey, So and Anh-Thi (aged 88)

1)…am smarter, but not as smart as I thought I was when I was younger.
2)…feel that time is moving faster.
